Today in the SVP Lounge, CT, Zack and Eric convene following a loss to Penn State and discuss how the wheels fell off in Happy Valley. Later, the guys preview Minnesota and how Maryland can get back on track against a team without its starting quarterback. Plus, CT recaps his birthday weekend, Zack’s day in State College for the game, Redskins-Ravens talk, Perry vs. Piggy and Yannick Ngakoue tearing it up in the NFL.

- Terps get thumped in Happy Valley by Penn State, 38-14
- Everyone agrees that there’s no reason to get too down on Maryland losing, was always a loseable game
- Saquon Barkley shredded the Terps, basically put the game away with a long touchdown run at the end of the first half

- The run defense was atrocious, Zack wondered why they were playing two high safeties when they needed one closer to the line of scrimmage

- The guys don’t understand people who are all in on Tyrelle Pigrome. The quarterback situation is bad and Hills gives the team the best chance to win. Piggy really only had one good run
- Offensive line didn’t look very good, either
- The Perry vs. Piggy conversation reminds Eric of Chris Turner vs. Josh Portis
- Hopefully next year’s quarterback conversation is far different
- CT thinks the offense can get back on track, but asks what’s everyone’s confidence level is on the defense righting the ship? Zack suggests going to the David Shaw on the interior of the defensive line, possibly Adam McLean. Also suggests providing more safety help against the run
- Eric is concerned about Minnesota’s rushing attack
- Minnesota’s starting quarterback Mitch Leidner is out with a concussion for Saturday’s game. Starting a walk-on in his place
- Their offense is bad, this only makes things worse. The Gophers aren’t going to throw the ball a whole lot. Terps need to contain it
- Terps need to win this one, three point favorites
- Minnesota does have a good defense, strong linebacking core

- Trey Edmunds is possibly out for the year with a broken foot
